HBK to kick off Raw

Fresh off his emotional victory over Rated-RKO last week, Shawn Michaels will kick off Raw tonight right at 9/8 CT. What does HBK have on his agenda tonight?

WWE Champion John Cena will defend his title against Umaga in a Last Man Standing Match at the Royal Rumble. The Last Man Standing Match has no rules except to beat your opponent so severely that he is unable to answer to a 10 count. Armando Estrada still claims that Cena’s win over the previously undefeated Umaga at New Year’s Revolution was a fluke, and chose a match that would allow no fluke victories. After the contract was signed cementing the match, Cena laid out both Umaga and Estrada. Will Estrada and Umaga try to get the upper hand on the final Raw leading into the Royal Rumble?

Raw vs. SmackDown challenge

Six days before The Hardys face MNM at Royal Rumble, Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy will face Joey Mercury in a special non-title Raw vs. SmackDown challenge match. Who will gain momentum for their team heading into this Sunday?

Just got a WWE insider text message sayingthat WWE officials believe that Umaga may have ruptured Cena's spleen and he was rushed immediatly to a medical facility.

HBK and Edge made Raw tonight. Tonight reminded me why I dug their short feud a couple years ago so much; great opening segment, great TV main event.

Candice is looking like she's actually working on the wrestling stuff. Good on her.

I was almost stunned over how hot the crowd was for them too. They were awesome last week for the handicap match, but this was like old school electricity. I can't remember the last Raw main event that had the type of heat surrounding it that tonight's did.

It's probably too much to ask that the WWE realizes why the fans have reacted to those two/three guys the way they have recently though. It can't be because it's character driven, wrestling-centric quality involving guys who know how to tell a coherent story with their work, no...

I've heard rumors that Vince is trying to go back to what made fans love Raw in the 90's. Looking foreword to some changes.

Last Nights Raw, was i gotta admit actually good Normally i just watch where my fav superstars are and then wait till the next time i see one... but this show kept my interested all the way through Thank god! About time a Raw show does that! HBK was the man!! so glad to see him back to his real old self! The one that i loved!!!

As a Cena fan... i sure hope to god he is ok Coach is such an ass... never thought that i would say this... but sometimes i think Eric would be better for the company.. sure he was a bigger ass.. but he made me want to watch... Coach.. makes me want to turn off the TV... same old thing every week...

Cena Injury Update

As reported yesterday by WWE Mobile Alerts, WWE Champion John Cena was injured last night on Raw when Umaga bulldozed him through a table.

Cena was left with severe abdominal pain from the fall, which WWE doctor Ferdinand Rios suspected was due to a ruptured spleen. Cena was taken to a nearby medical facility for an abdominal CT scan, but refused admission and left the hospital under his own power— against the advice of the attending physician.

Many question the reasoning behind Cena ignoring the potentially severe injury. According to doctors, physical activity, especially contact sports, could be catastrophic.

WWE.com has learned of a new clause in the company’s wellness policy. When a Superstar is admitted to a medical facility, there is a minimum number of days the Superstar cannot compete. This is dependent upon the severity of the condition diagnosed. Cena’s subsequent actions after his diagnosis raises the question: did Cena refuse to be admitted to the hospital to avoid the risk of not being cleared to defend his title against Umaga at the Royal Rumble this Sunday?

It’s no secret he wants revenge on the Samoan Bulldozer, but is refusing the needed medical attention the right decision? Could Cena be jeopardizing his career for his lust for retribution?

I love Cena's heart in wanting to defend his tittle.. shows what a true champion is,... but must he THAT dumb??? Just hope nothing is severely wrong with him.
