CLASH OF EVOLUTION
March 7, 2005

On Dec. 14, 2003, young Evolution enforcer Batista and crafty veteran Ric Flair captured the World Tag Team Championship for the first time. Since then, Evolution's power, influence and success has only grown.

But on Monday in Raleigh, N.C., the two Evolution members will instead battle each other. Since signing the RAW contract to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, Batista has become more and more independent. In contrast, Triple H’s most loyal ally will step up and take on the animal.

Will Batista’s brut force overwhelm “The Nature Boy,” or will Flair use his championship experience and Figure-Four Leglock to cut down the big man? Perhaps the X-factor will be the location of Monday Night RAW. This match will take place deep in the heart of “Flair Country” in his home state of North Carolina, and that might get The Nature Boy extra-motivated.

The HBK-Kurt Angle situation is escalating rapidly. What will Michaels say and do next, and will he be 100 percent on RAW after the bloody beating he took last week from the Olympic gold medalist? Video - Angle accepts: 56k | 300k

Also, both Randy Orton and Chris Jericho seem intent on making their own WrestleMania mark on April 3. What will the “Legend Killer” do, and will we learn more about Jericho’s pay-per-view plan?

Christy challenged Trish to a match at Wrestlemania, and Trish asked how she could expect to beat her at Wrestlemania, Christy said she was being trained to wrestle by someone she knew very well, Lita's music hit and Lita came out to the ring and it distracted Trish, Christy gave Trish a twist of fate while Trish was standing face to face with Lita.

Well there were chants directed at Edge. I didn't hear any directed at Lita. I guess people didn't expect her to come out.

From my understanding Matt was supposed to be put into the ladder match. Obviously now that has changed. That match will be pretty good though.

Loved the Batista/Flair/H stuff for most part.

I'm definitely looking foward to seeing Benoit vs H live next week.

Unless Christy is a very, very, very fast learner, I still think they should have had Trish face Victoria or Molly.

Same here I heard a You screwed Matt chant at Edge and I think I heard a you screwed Lita chant at Edge. I guess part of it is due to Edge being married or that the Lita fans are more loyal.

I've been studying all night so I caught the Trish/Christy moment right up until the point where she said she'd end Christy's career like *that*. That's about all I caught, kind of sucks that I missed the Lita moment.

I wasn't really focused on Lita/Matt/Edge drama although I did notice "We Want Matt" chants.

Wrestlemania is surely building up with Orton/Undertaker match and the Six Man Ladder Match between Edge, Benoit, Benjamin, Christian, Y2J and Kane. Plus with HBK and Angle segment at the beginning of RAW.

It was nice to see Christy finally get physical. I think if she was really training that she could get a fair shake in the business.

I enjoyed the last segment obviously - I'm literally counting down the days until Triple H and Batista go at it! I love Batista, but I'm rooting for my boy! Go Hunter!

I loved when Lita showed up! I wasn't expecting her at all - due to her injury and her personal business running rampant through the media, but it was really cool to see her. I can't wait for her to make a full recovery and return to the ring.

Randy challenging Undertaker? The storyline doesn't really have any direction or purpose, unless they're planning on making Randy a heel. I love the guy, but I don't see him ending Taker's 12-0 Wrestlemania streak - especially since the man is planning to retire some time this summer. However, because they are on different shows, and a match like this may be a once in a lifetime oppurtunity for Randy, I'd love to see it. It's never been seen before, so it should be interesting.

The six-man ladder match? Jericho is brilliant! I love, love, LOVE the fact that he suggested this. All of the guys involved are amazing competitors in this type of match up - excluding Kane - I can't wait to see it!

Austin - where are you? Make a surprise appearance or something! I can't wait till Wrestlemania! Drag The Rock along with you! That would make my year!

I agree...I totally MARKED out when she came out. My mom was looking at me like I was on drugs or something. LOL

LOVED that she came out and I really didn't hear any of the "Edge chants" but rather the crowd cheering for her. Very interesting that she's supposedly training Christy. Well at least they will be a Women's Match at the ppv.

- I agree with everyone about the Randy/Undertaker feud, does not make sense. And I can't really see Taker ending his 12-0 Wrestlemania streak. I'm thinking it will be backwards....Taker ending Randy's streak of putting away Legends.

- Loving HHH and Batista feud.

Carrie, I didn't know that Matt was supposed to be in the Ladder Match set up for Wrestlemania. For some reason I kept thinking the 6th guy was going to be Jeff Hardy. Well I was almost right. LOL

RAW was exciting! I think Kurt Angle is as focused as he's been in awhile.

I'm glad that Eric Bischoff hasn't completely forgotten about Edge & now he gets an oppurtunity to prove again that he should get a Title shot. Although Christian, Shelton, & Y2J I believe also deserve Title shots, It seems either Edge or Chris Benoit will win the Ladder Match at WrestleMania unless of course the WWE is going to give someone else a big push.

I was surprised that Lita showed up but, the only way I see Christy defeating Trish at WrestleMania is with someone's interference, but that might be how she wants to win her 1st Women's Championship.

I think the WWE made another questionable decision by not having Shawn Michaels in the Ladder Match at WrestleMania.

If the WWE wanted to make WrestleMania the best it can be then they probably should of done that & have Kurt Angle be the defending Champ instead of JBL. I like Edge but he lost fair & sqare to Shawn in the Street Fight & gets an oppurtunity to become the #1 contender for the World Title after WrestleMania, while Shawn has to face someone who I think will put on a wrestling clinic.
