Return of the Hardys




Since the dramatic separation of their tag team nearly five years ago, Matt and Jeff Hardy have taken their talents to the singles ranks, where they have successfully navigated their way to countless accolades and championships. For some WWE fans though, the last five years haven’t quite been the same as the days of Team Xtreme.

As a unit, Matt and Jeff revolutionized tag team wrestling, enjoying unprecedented popularity on their way to providing some of the most memorable moments in sports-entertainment history. At Survivor Series, the WWE fans will get their way as Matt and Jeff join forces as part of Team DX.

The much anticipated Hardy Boyz reunion will come as part of a special 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match, putting the brothers on the same team for the first time since 2002. While many thought the reunion would never happen, the Hardys explained to WWE.com that it was only a matter of time.

“There came a point where we had to go our separate ways,” said a focused Jeff. “We had to go out separately and achieve things on our own, but we always knew we would get back together at some point.”

“The Hardy Boyz are a franchise,” added Matt. “The time is right for a reunion. This is Survivor Series and the Hardys are survivors. It’s great to be back in the saddle.”

In D-Generation X, and straight-edge Extremist CM Punk, the Hardys have aligned themselves with three of the most skilled Superstars on the WWE roster. The excited duo is looking forward to partnering with their talented teammates.

“DX are the kings of controversy,” proclaimed Matt. “We are pretty controversial ourselves. CM Punk has become the coolest young star in all of ECW. We are big fans of all of our teammates, and we think they may even be fans of ours. It’s going to be a hell of a combination.”

After five years apart, most teams struggle to find the chemistry and cohesiveness that made them successful in the first place. The Hardy Boyz, however, insist that the layoff won’t affect their performance at Survivor Series.

“We’ve been teaming together for our entire lives, I don’t expect there to be any rust,” said Jeff. “We’ll be bringing out a few new tricks, and of course, all the old classics. Poetry in Motion, Twist of Fate, the Swanton Bomb…they are as strong as ever.”

Heyman issues extreme invite




WWE.com has been informed that ECW representative Paul Heyman has issued an open invitation to Matt and Jeff Hardy to compete this Tuesday on ECW on Sci Fi. Formerly known as Team Xtreme, they have never appeared on ECW, and have not competed as a team in nearly five years.

As a unit, the Hardys won multiple tag team championships, captivating audiences with their innovative and breathtaking maneuvers while providing some of the most memorable moments in sports-entertainment history. A dramatic split in 2002 tore the brothers apart, leaving WWE fans distraught at the possibility of the end of a dynasty. At Survivor Series, the Hardys will reunite as partners on Team DX, when they take on Team RKO in a Traditional Survivor Series Match.

Paul Heyman, looking to trump both RAW and SmackDown is always looking for opportunities to boost ECW’s profile. In accordance, he has extended the invitation in hopes of capitalizing on the highly anticipated Hardy reunion. In an exclusive interview with ECW.com, Heyman shed more light on the developing situation.

“The Hardys have a great reputation as one of the most extreme tag teams of all time,” exclaimed Heyman. “They are unquestionably one of the most popular teams in WWE history. Much like ECW’s resurrection by popular demand in 2005, people have been clamoring for a Hardy Boyz reunion for five years. It’s time for the Hardy Boyz to not only team up again, but to do it in the biggest way possible… a reunion of Team Xtreme and their ECW debut, all rolled up into one.”

Matt & Jeff to be at December to Dismember press conference




Last week on ECW on Sci Fi, the Hardy Boyz reunited for the first time in nearly five years when they defeated the F.B.I. in tag team action.

The popular duo will be together again this Sunday at Survivor Series as part of Team DX. But that won’t be the final time you will see Matt and Jeff together, as it has been announced that the Hardy Boyz will also be at the December to Dismember press conference this Monday in Augusta, Ga.

At this time, the reasoning behind Matt and Jeff’s participation at the press conference is unknown. Be sure to watch the event live on ECW.com and WWE.com this Monday at noon ET to find out.

I don't know. I'm just not excited about them being a team again. I was with them all the way when they first started out in WWE, but they've done everything possible as a team. I'd just rather have them solo.

I don't mind them reuniting after the ridiculous way they were split. The WWE could've at least done it the right way.....anyhow the Hardyz along with Team DX and CM Punk beat Team RKO.

Just watching December to Dismember, Jeff/Matt had a good match, love watching the Hardys

Did Jeff kiss Melina or was he talking to her???, couldnt tell coz her head/hair was in the way just before Nitro drop-kicked her (as he missed Jeff)

Also are Hardys still in WWE Raw or moved to ECW??? and also what about MNM?

Well - I noticed MNM on Smackdown and Raw last week - so I have no idea..I think they are on all 3 - as the Hardyz are.
