I did. It felt slow, in a way, but it was to be expected because there were new characters and settings to introduce.
Helen McCrory was AMAZING.
Our OTP was OTP-ing all over the place.
Victor got creepier.
Caliban has more love interests than anyone else at the moment.
No Dorian in the episode.
Biggest shockers: Malcolm didn't act like a jerk and Sembene had a lot of lines.

...and OTP is perfect. Loved their scenes and how Ethan stayed outside the house after he left. He cares about her and didn't leave

Fancy, semi-incestuous, possibly lesbian witches! And did you get the impression that maybe Vanessa was so shaken and scared because she's had experience with them in the past, perhaps she dealt with a coven or was made part of one in some way? Because she asked Sembene if he thinks that the past can come back, and told the group that she "knew their kind".
Ethan this season got even more precious and puppy-licious.
But I laughed at how he went from "I shall leave and be gone 4ever and you'll nevah see him again, join a war somewhere and die taking with me the monster I carry inside" to "Nooope, my boo is in danger, I'm staying, and now that I think about it I'm moving in with her for good measure." in the span of 24 hours.

I predict angst, though, because Vanessa is putting her walls up after the attack, and the witches know they must take him out before getting to Vanessa, so either they want to kill him, or make him to betray her (Hecate could try to seduce/manipulate Ethan).

She must be. Vanessa is so complex and we probably don't know everything about her yet. She could have had some involvement with them or like you said - made part of one. I'm really pulling for another Vanessa centric episode like the one we got last season. Gosh, that one killed me


I'm too forward, but I thought he was going to tell her when they were the carriage about why he was leaving. Loved that last scene where they just stared at each other and he;s in the room next door

I don't think anyone doubted the sequel's success, probably just wondering if it will break the first movie's record in US. I say it will.
I don't know if you've already seen the promotional stills for episode 3, but it looks like we're going to find out soon.
It was the opposite for me!! I didn't see Ethan opening up to so early in the season, at all, I thought at best he would come up with some excuse. The fact that he told her that something "involving blood" happens to him is already so huge in my book.

And for the love of everything, the Devil and his minions need to stop cockblocking my OTP, all these interruptions are getting annoying. j/k
YES! Those looks - part mutual understanding and reassurance, part longing.

But. Aren't they going to plant any seed of doubt in Ethan's mind about what happened to Brona? From the trailers, it looks like they will address Dorian's feelings for/memory of Vanessa, but haven't heard or seen anything about E/B yet. It's a bit weird.
Yup. Although the temptress witch thing has been done a thousand times. We'll see.
I feared a triangle... so of course the writers overdid themselves and gave me a love square. Damn.


Currently trying to watch The Salvation with Mads Mikkelsen and Eva Green, but I'm tired and trying to post around a bit, too, so I pause every 5 minutes - the worst way to see a film, and way to ruin the tension.
