yeah it wouldn't make sense for him not to return. He is so power hungry and now here's his shot at power so there's no way he would miss it.

Clarissa, Diane and the duke of Guise are forming an army in the woods to take control of France in season 3 That's why we don't see them anymore (if the Darkness was that little guy everything can happen )
