Same. But more than sad, I was angry at the way fandom treats her. She's essentially a victim, but all you could hear about her was "she's a ****" :vomit:

IKR? It's crazy. And for some it's getting worse because she's married to the character they want with Mary. She gets "gross" because "she slept with his father". Pity that both Mary and Lola slept with his brother. And God forbid we remember that the King practically tricked her and she was fifteenish. Of course she was foolish sometimes, but God who isn't at her age?

^ exactly! People who find it gross that Kenna was with both Henri and Bash but then happily ship Mary and Bash without caring that she is with his brother are my least favourite kind of hypocrites. Like, they have "don't mess with your relatives' girls" standards that they conveniently forget when it suits them.
The fact that she takes all the heat for Henri/Kenna and that I have yet to see someone bring up how Henri was both at least three times older, had a million time more power than she does, and that their story started with very dubious consent makes me so mad.

And he was so awful to her, pretending she was finally his official mistress while he sneaked into Diane's bed as soon as he left her. But hey, let's blame Kenna instead we're still playing this bashing games with women.
And the affair with the king was so uncomfortable to watch as far as I'm concerned. Just because I like Henry it doesn't mean he didn't send me all kinds of old perv vibes in his scenes with her.

Yeah, there really was something creepy in the fact that he basically owned her. Which is why I loved the Kennash power play so much - for the first time, Kenna was actually equal with her lover.
