This survivor shouldn't have anything to do with Francis at all. It's not really the point if it. Infact I think it lessens it a bit because it makes some viewers think that Francis is the only reason they cared about each other and its not. Perhaps a Frary or Fratherine survivor next.

Oh, for sure. Their love for Francis may have brought them together at first, but Matherine's connection is about SO much more. We're already doing Frary survivors in the Frary thread, but I think a Fratherine survivor would be amazing!

I don't see this as a Frary reference, just Catherine telling Mary how much she loved seeing them play together.

I understand what you mean, Stephen. #21 is not necessarily a Frary (or Francis) reference. I love the idea of Catherine watching Mary and Francis playing as children. It's a reminder that Catherine really did care for Mary when she was at French court as a child. I just think that the moment in #33 is more powerful, and I don't want to let it go yet.

I really don't want to let go of #23.

Mary and Catherine holding on to each other and comforting each other after Francis' death is everything to me. I suppose #20 is the same sentiment, but I wish both moments could be in the top 5. And I can't decide which other moment I would vote off in it's place.

I'll wait to see if we can get another vote or two before I officially cast my vote.

Not ready to say good-bye to 23, so I'll vote 35 this round.

Believe me, I hate this... but I'm going to go with #35 this round, too. It's incredibly precious, and it shows just far Matherine had come. THEY ARE FAMILY.

However, #23 just means more to me. When the scene first aired, we were all still grieving and it was so important for me to see these two dealing with the loss of Francis just like I was. It was so beautiful to see them still holding on to each other. And Catherine reminding Mary that she is STILL a queen.
