Well, I think John in real life is completely fun and charming, and I adore his beautiful Scottish brogue. I don't know if I'd say he's any better of an actor than the rest of the Reign cast, but I think he's a great fit for the show. I'm SUPER excited for...

I just finished watching the episode live, and I loved it! It was SO good.

Mary lost Francis' sword. I know she will get it back again, though.

NOT ENOUGH CATHERINE.

I love that Mary refused to leave Bash behind on the beach. And now their papers say that they are "siblings." Ok...

I was a little angry that Narcisse just left Mary and Bash, but I understand that he has own journey now. I respect that he is so focused on getting to Lola. Maybe that shows that he has grown? At least he gave Mary a little pep talk before he left. Mary will get through this.

Ugh, Charles went behind Catherine's back to try to do away with the regency, and he got himself kidnapped by the Red Knights. His plan might have worked if his skeevy "high-born" friend hadn't betrayed him. If Claude and Charles had only listened to Catherine and stayed safely inside the castle until the Red Knights were defeated. My hope is that Catherine will come to the rescue in the next episode, and Charles and Claude will regret EVER doubting their mother or her love for them.

We got some sweet Cleith in this episode! Leith was willing to risk SO MUCH (and defy Catherine de Medici) for the chance to marry the woman he loves. They are simply adorable. Pure sunshine. Twirling and kissing. I may be crazy, but I'm still praying that these two get their happy ending. "And no one will ever come between us again."

I'm sorry, but I just LOVE Lola and Elizabeth's friendship. Their interactions with the delegation from Denmark were pretty funny, and I enjoy their heart to heart conversations. I was very nervous when Liz started doubting Lola's motives for befriending her, and even more scared when Liz realized that Lola had gotten information about her fleet to Mary. But Liz didn't blame her, and even offered for her and her son to stay in England as English subjects. I don't know whether to trust it. Do you think Lola will take Liz up on her offer? Or will Narcisse arrive on the scene before she can make a decision? I felt sorry for Lola, believing that her friend is dead.

OF COURSE, Mary and Bash end up being escorted (held hostage) by the clan whose leader, Munroe, is responsible for the assassination attempt and Francis' death. The end of the episode made me SO SO excited for the next one. Mary's declaration that she will get herself taken to Munroe and "rip his heart out as he did mine." HELL to the YES! I am so there for that! GET HIM MARY!

I was totally and completely gutted at Mary's "I will rip out his heart as he did mine." Poor Mary!! That quote did things to me I mean, taking away Francis literally tore out her heart. Ugh, I hope she gets him and gets him good next episode. I am SO excited.

Also Cleith is SO SO cute. I'm with you Keri, I hope they last. What I don't understand is why people keep trying to pull one over Catherine - you are never going to be as good as her so stop trying!!

I feel really bad for Lola now that she thinks Mary is dead. But I totally love her and Elizabeth's friendship. I was so surprised she wasn't mad at Lola and understood!

I don't even remember anything in the episode....all I can think about is the preview for next week. Holy cow.

I know, right?! That line did something to me, too. It's so devastating. To be fair, any mention of Francis' name and my heart leaps out of my chest, but seeing Mary confront the devil who took him from her... that's on a whole other level. I'm so looking forward to it.

I was very surprised and relieved that Elizabeth wasn't angry at Lola. I love how well these two understand each other. It's nice that we have a character like Lola to show us that BOTH Mary and Elizabeth are good, decent people.

●That Danish Prince was the most annoying person on the planet.
●Charles friends looked like lost boy rejects.
●I don't understand why Catherine d8dn try to explain herself to Charles and Claude to make them understand rather than just doing the mom thing and being like "because I said so"
●The vase breaking while they were playing in the hall...typical teenage boys
●Narcisse when he asked what kind of country it was was hilarious.
●Bash having magic in him....that's weird
●Mary lost Francis's sword (which she'll probably get back somehow) but she also lost all the clothes Catherine got her. Which is also sad.
●Is anyone else feeling like they are trying to slowly morph into Game of Thrones with the pacing and the way they no longer focus on any one character very long?
●Mary recognizing the clansman's pin. Was that made note of previously? I don't think it was. Where did they pull that out of? It was weird. It was played like we were suppo7to know it by sight. They should have made her notice the pun on one of the men when Francis died. No planning ahead on this show.
●I think they also should have shown Catherine getting the news of Mary's crashed ship as well. Another missed opportunity.

- Lost boys rejects. I really liked the scene where they broke the vase. Typical teenage boys.

- I never thought about Mary losing the clothes that Catherine gave her. That's so sad. And we really should have seen Catherine getting the news of what happened to Mary's ship, too. So many missed opportunities.

- I don't understand why Catherine didn't do a better job of explaining herself to Charles and Claude. All she said was "It was for the greater good" and "Narcisse had to go." Of course she's going to look power-hungry and selfish to her children when she puts it like that.

- I certainly don't remember them focusing on one of the attacker's pins during Francis' death scene. Then again, I haven't rewatched the battle in the clearing very often. They definitely should have made it more obvious if they were going to use it later.

- Bash having "magic" in him is interesting.... They have indicated that since the beginning of the series, but do you think the theory that Delphine's magic or Christophe's urges transferred to him could be correct?

That's a great point about showing Catherine hear about the ship crash. Can you imagine what her reaction would have been. And losing the clothes!! That's so sad!

Also popping in to say that the Danish Prince was so so annoying His banishment of Lola as this huge/horrible punishment was pretty funny.

It's one of my favorite moments, too, Alex. That entire scene was so swoon-worthy. And the way they get lost in their kisses.

I can only imagine what Catherine's reaction would have been to the news. Perhaps we could still see it in the next episode? I doubt it, but it's possible.

Prince Magnus of Denmark wins the prize for most annoying suitor EVER. I love how Lola was trying to restrain Liz from going off on him. And Lola being banished from Denmark for life... what a horrible fate.
