The whole scene was odd for sure. It will be interesting to see how Catherine acts when Claude shows up for breakfast the next day.

I haven't watched the episode so I can't speculate too much but I definitely don't think she tried to poison her for real.

Maybe Claude has a better constitution than most and what would have killed an elephant merely made her feverish/appear drunk.

If she stopped drinking it before she reached a lethal amount then it would explain why she survived.

Did you see the canadian promo ? Catherine was carrying a bol with Henry and she was behind Kenna, maybe the poison thing is progressive ? so no one would suspect anything.

To call the poisoning a bizarre incident is an understatement. I would like to understand what the writers are trying to get at.
