I'd believe her to be Nost's daughter more than I would her being Mary's sister tbh. But I don't think that's it either, he seems much too detached when he talks to her.

Do we know where Mary was born?

That some how Clarissa is related to Mary, if not her sister. I could see Mary having a twin sister that had a deformity, and possibly one of the maids was told get rid of the child. Some people don't have the heart to kill an innocent so maybe that person took the child in.

This didn't happen in history, and that's fine because some of the things in this series that we've seen so far, never happened. They could totally do this. I'll settle for Clarissa being a related to Mary.

I don't understand this theory. People sound the same who aren't related, and people who are related who sound nothing alike. And, of course, as Marina said, it wouldn't make sense for Mary's sister to be living under a castle in France. She should be living under a castle in Scotland, in the very least.
