Mary isn't the best decision-maker either. She's young. She's bound to eff it all up this early on. In terms of experience, Catherine has been there done that so she's got that edge over Mary. I'm sure Catherine has had her fair share of unfair decisions in the past (and even now too) that can cost her eventually.

I gotcha. She totally did. Her own little haven did kind of resemble that time period.

I think she's at the point to where Catherine is messing with her plans to marry Bash and make him the next King of France and she did this, destroyed her chance at happiness to protect Catherine's son, and I guess she feels like Catherine should be grateful, and on board. Catherine and her children lose everything, she's only acting out because she wants to have everything. Her family titles, and her son safe. I can see why her attitudes changes. In her mind she's protecting Francis above everything else.

Still doesn't make sense. As Mary's been told a number of times, marrying Bash puts Francis in more danger than he was before.

But she still wanted her to be happy and saw her off at the end of 1x09, even after Catherine tried to kill her.

Then suddenly in 1x10 she comes in with all this attitude after Catherine tried to kill Bash. It's weird. And it seems like it's just going to get weirder with all the "can't wait for you to be beheaded lol" from the promo

Ultimately, it still all boils down to not fulfilling a prophecy and to protect Francis which is really the point to all of this.

True. Her attitude was jarring. What I am wondering is if it's a poor acting choice from Adelaide or if she's being directed that way? Then again, I suppose it all starts with the writing...

One Thing Remains

I think the reason why Mary is ok with Catherine dying now is because she keeps trying to kill Bash or ruin him so he can't be on the throne.

Mary needs to marry Bash so that Francis can live. If Bash dies than Henry will force her to marry Francis and she is too afraid that the prophecy will happen.

If Catherine would stop trying to kill or destroy Bash's chances of getting the throne then I think Mary would no longer wish her dead.

True. I think Mary made her sacrifice (giving up on the man she loves) and she doesn't understand why Catherine won't do the same. Even though Catherine explained to her that putting Bash on the throne is dangerous for all of her children, not just Francis.
