Ugh, I'm still processing. Maybe I'm in denial, but in my mind it just can't be the end of their story and there is still hope that they will be endgame. I mean... it's so obvious that Sophie isn't happy with her fiancé. There's something missing there. Look how sad she was when she found her grandmother's emerald ring. And don't even get me started on the pain and regret all over Kevin's face. I just really want him to get his second crack at truly earning that ring. One thing I know for sure is that a hook-up with Madison is not the start of the epic love story like his parents' that he wants. For me, Sophie is the only character we've met that can fit that description. All of those beautiful flashbacks just confirmed it. The only thing that makes me doubt that it will be Kophie in the end is the availability of the actress. Alexandra now has her own show on Netflix, Virgin River (if you haven't seen it, it's really good!) and it's been renewed for a second season. If her filming schedule doesn't allow her to come back and work on This Is Us, then I guess that's that.

yeah, Alex even posted a kind of "goodbye" video on IG the other day before the ep don't know what to think...their story can't be over especially cause Sophie was pretty hesitant when she saw the ring of her grandmother. and they keep bringing this story back it has to be for a reason.
Kevin sleeping with Madison later that day was pretty desperate and I'm very tired he's doing that all the time, just sleeping with every woman he speaks to... it's definitely not gonna mean anything.

Ah I didn't see that vid from Alex. I assume it was an IG story? I actually just started following her on IG. She's seems really cool, and her kids are so cute!

I never even realized how invested I was in Kophie until I watched this last episode, and now I'm just preparing myself to be absolutely crushed if these two don't end up together. Ugh, what is so frustrating is that this episode gave us so many mixed signals. It's all meant to be ambiguous and keep us guessing. That's what this show does best. It all depends on how you choose to interpret all of the flashbacks and symbols - like the sheep mobile, the ring, the playground / coffee shop, or the ending of Good Will Hunting. Is it about hope and waiting and love coming back to you? Or is it about moving on and finding closure? I'm staying hopeful because, like you said, their story can't be over and if they keep bringing it back, it must be for a reason. This episode didn't close the door on Kevin and Sophie's relationship at all. In fact, it left it more open-ended and created even more questions that will have to be resolved. Let's just say I'm cautiously optimistic.

Ugh, I know. Oh, Kevin. I do understand why it happened, though. Like he told Sophie, when you're grieving you grab on to whatever is near you. And Kevin was obviously grieving Claire and his relationship with Sophie. Kevin's reaction of pure regret when he was on the phone with Randall and Kate makes me pretty certain that Madison is not going to be the pregnant fiancé. I just hope that it doesn't hurt his relationship with Kate.

You know, I'm really grateful that Kevin didn't sleep with Sophie when they went off together after the funeral. They were both strong and wise enough to walk away. As much as I want them together, them cheating on her fiancé is NOT how I wanted it to happen.

Who knows, maybe my luck will rub off on you this time. If things don't go our way, at least I can share the pain and disappointment with you.

yeah it was an IG story and she didn't say it exactly but it really sounded like a goodbye. maybe just for now, who knows.
