I think that was the moment I went from loving to hate Catherine to just loving Catherine.

I already loved Catherine from day 1. I think I already jus knew exactly who she was before they let you fully see it.

I love how Catherine was still there for Mary after Francis died.

Same for me. It really showed how genuine her love for Mary was at this point. Mary and Francis never had a child together, so it's not as though there was any selfish reason for Catherine to continue to care about Mary after Francis died. Their shared love for Francis eventually led to them loving each other and it was such a powerful story.

I beleive that Catherine loved Mary long before Francis died. They were close when she wa little. Catherine outright told Francis tgat she had indeed loved her. The only reason she didn't show it as much was simply because she was afraid to get close to her knowing that she had to push her away in order to save Francis.

Poor Mary had no reason why this woman that pretty much raised her when she was later was being so cruel towards her.

Agreed. So true. Their shared love of Francis (and their shared grief) just made them that much closer.
