I usually just go along with the flow. If you set up a time, I can see whether it's possible for me to join you or not.

^ Alright. Sounds good.
Off the top of my head, I can't think of any episodes in Season 3 that I would really want to skip, but I'm open to what everyone else wants to do. I actually really like The Price - at least for the Frary parts. It was really heartbreaking to see Francis die the first time, but it was also really poignant and moving. It was so beautiful that Mary was willing to pay the ultimate price to bring Francis back. I enjoyed the last three episodes as well. I was definitely cheering Mary on as she avenged Francis and killed Munroe. And it was pretty epic when she returned to Scottish court to reclaim her throne. I hate what led up to Lola's execution, but for me, that was pretty moving, too. Any reason in particular why those eps aren't your favorites, Amanda? __________________

Mostly that those episodes were boring. And I had no desire to see Francis fake out die...it was silly. I remember little significance in them. The few things that stuck I have no desire to rewatch.

Well, for me the Francis dying fake out was more cruel rather than silly, especially since they took him from us for real the very next episode. Like I said, I enjoyed the episode in terms of it's meaning for Frary - and seeing a piece of Nostradamus' vision come to pass. As a Francis fan, I would personally want to rewatch all of the first five episodes to see as much of him (and Frary) as possible, but I could always rewatch some of that on my own.
As for the last three episodes, I agree they could have been better. However, there was plenty of significance and excitement in them for me... Mary going undercover and tracking down Francis' killer, Charles being kidnapped, Lola's failed assassination attempt on Elizabeth... It set things up well for Season 4 and the decisions that would lead to Mary's downfall. Again, I'm open to rewatching all of them, but if a majority of people seem to want to skip a couple episodes, I'm okay with that. __________________

Maybe it would be best to decide from week to week what we'll be watching? We can just start with 3x01 and go from there. __________________

That's what I figured, Amanda. We'll just plan on watching all of the episodes, and if anyone needs or wants to skip an episode or two, they can (obviously).
Amanda and I were talking, and we thought it might work if we don't set a specific time to rewatch together, but rather leave it open for people to watch when they can on a certain day (say Thursdays) and stop by to discuss during that 24-hour period. Of course, we would leave the discussion threads open and topped for the week following in case people need to watch later or want to keep chatting. What does everyone think? If we start this week, we could maybe get in two episodes before taking a break for Easter. Or should we just start the first week of April? What day of the week would work best for people to find time to rewatch the episodes? Thursday? Weekends? __________________

So i’ve Been looking at the rewatch thread... and I will totally admit I started watching this show on Netflix on a whim a month or two ago ( I can’t remember exactly) — and was hooked on the history/ love story (I know it’s not accurate but I did read up on the actual happenings too) I have lots of thoughts on seasons 1 & 2 (Lola/Bash/Kenna etc) season 3 I can only bring myself to watch eps 1-4 and I’m half through ep 5, then I skipped ahead to ep 15 where Mary left for Scotland and finished the season —- I was a blubbering mess that couldn’t handle Francis death or the aftermath.... and season 4 I haven’t seen more than the last ep to see where it ended... (Happy Frary reunion was a nice touch) Mary’s story (in history) is one of such struggle and loss... and I like that the show gave us that even making it more 2010’s In Style/story... Not sure how much I will be a part of a season 3 rewatch, but when you do season +1/2 I’ll jump right in there.....

If you have missed most of season 3 and 4 than you don't know what youre missing.
I think Thursdays are perfect for rewatches. We can call them Throwback Thursdays. __________________

Ah Brie, no one understands the pain of losing Francis more than I do. I'm still grieving and processing. But Amanda is right, you are really missing out if you don't give the rest of Season 3 and 4 a chance. It was really good! And Mary/Catherine was EPIC.
We've already done a couple rewatches of Season 1 and 2 here on the Reign board, but once we get through Season 3 and 4 we'll see if anyone is game for starting from the beginning again. I love Throwback Thursdays! Do we want to start next week? I am planning on taking that day off from work anyway. Amanda, would you be willing to make edits that I can post on tumblr, IG, and twitter to promote the rewatches? We can have one edit for each episode, or simply one that we can update with the new episode name and date. If you don't have time, I'm willing to give it a shot. __________________

Take all the time you need, Brie. Just know that when you finally do watch those episodes, we'll be here to commiserate with. You're never watching alone.
And please share your thoughts on Season 1 and 2 with us here anytime! We'd love to hear them. Just find the different episode threads in the OP of the "French Court" Board Guide thread that's topped. That's the perfect place to post to your thoughts, and see the thoughts of others. __________________
