Exactly. Despite all of their issues, Francis at least respected his mother and tried to understand where she was coming from. Charles and Henri...not so much.

It’s a good job for someone who’s always right, to be sure. But as it turns out, many people quite despise me. I would never want to ascend to power if it meant losing you. For what is France without my Francis?

One of my favorite mother/son moments - Catherine trying to fix Francis' hair. So sweet, funny and relatable.

Poor Francis is so annoyed and horrified.

Yes, I love that despite the fact that they were royalty and ruling a country, Catherine was just a regular mom - above all.
