I wonder about what Catherine told Mary in A Chill in the Air, about how she and Henri used to be happy and in love until he couldn't fight his love for Diane anymore and had to go back to her. Did she say that just because she wanted Mary to believe this is what was going to happen with Francis and Olivia, or were Henri and her really happy at some point?

I think she exaggerated to piss Mary off. When she spoke to Diane, she seemed repulsed by the idea of sleeping with Henry. She probably felt something for him once,but couldn't take being second best to Diane.

IA. She was manipulating Mary, but it seems like she prefers twisting the truth rather than lying outright.

Her disgust for Henri has probably grown throughout the years. I'm sure they legitimately hate each other at this point, but there may have been a camaraderie in their past. Certainly not a true love kind of situation, since that seems to be Henri/Diane.

I think it might be a little bit of both. She might resent him for not showing up sooner to save her. After what happened I wouldn't blame her not wanting to be intimate for a while.

I would love flashbacks. I'd like to think they were happy at certain times. Like when she was giving birth to his children. When she realized she was first pregnant. Happy moments.

I'd like to think there were moments of friendship. I mean I don't really think their was ever a romantic relationship between them, but I definitely think after being together that ong that there would be some sort of friendship established in the past.
