Narcisse also reminded me of Catherine when he was talking to Luc and he was all "I am a good man!" "I didn’t have anything to do with it" it felt like the scene with Claude "I am shocked"

Haha that's another great parallel. Both parents are trying to get their children to play along, and their children are trying to tell them that they aren't playing at all.

Haha his reaction was perfect. I wish I was Narcisse in that scene. It might be terrifying to have Catherine de Medici threaten you, but that was sexy as hell.

Thinking again about the Luc/Narcisse and Claude/Catherine parallel... it might have been intentional. Maybe they are trying to highlight that Narcisse and Catherine are alike in many ways. Heck, it was so obvious that even Phil on the AfterBuzz show noticed it.

I said this already to someone else but since you mention it....

I don't know whether it's because I'm afraid or turned on, but i definitely need new underwear after that.

IDK if the bedroom one was, but the other one perhaps. But I kind of hate that they did that, even if it was funny, because I'm kind of sick of people saying they are the same. Narcisse doesn't ever put others first, Catherine is always thinking of her family above herself.

While I certainly agree that Catherine's motives are generally purer and more selfless, I do think that she and Narcisse have a lot in common.... their intelligence, resourcefulness, and ability to scheme and manipulate others. They get things DONE. Plus, they are both damn sexy, and aren't afraid to use that fact to their advantage. But when it comes to real relationships, they are both damaged and insecure. So for those reasons, I will say that they are alike in many ways.

No. I think Catherine is damaged, but Narcisse is more just....inexperienced at actual relationships. As he had told Lola, he hadn't ever been in love...he doesn't even understand how you're supposed to act in that situation.

Well, I definitely think Narcisse is broken, too. I mean, his four (or was it five?) previous wives all died. You can't go through that and not get a little messed up. I'm sure he has a lot of guilt and regret bottled up from those experiences. Goodness, he might even think he is cursed or being punished by God. Then, when he believes he has finally found real love and family with Lola and little John, it is taken from him in the most brutal way... right in front of his eyes.



They certainly look hot together.



Oh my gosh, it would have been amazing to have Cathry AND Catcisse in S1. Can you imagine!
