How far are you in The Vampire Diaries, Sherry? I really love The Crown and would recommend it to everyone. Claire Foy and Matt Smith are awesome. I didn't realize how INTERESTING and inspiring Elizabeth II could be. I had no idea. __________________

I have tried watching OUAT several times, but no go. What am I missing? I would like to be able to get into it.

The first half is a little different from the rest of the series. The tone and the pacing are slower and darker. Once the magic starts seeping into the real world it gets more interesting.

I have to agree about OUAT. I'm a sucker for romance and fairytales in any form, so there was plenty to keep me watching through the first half of Season 1. After that, it really stared to pull me in. I drifted away from the show for quite awhile after the first couple seasons... and I don't really know why. But I'm so happy that I decided to get caught up when Adelaide joined the cast. It's fantastic.

I thought the first 3 seasons of OUAT were the best.
I was in the mood for Christmas movies. Watched "A Christmas Prince" on Netflix. It was a predictable, but cute feel good movie, similar to what you'd see on Hallmark. Rose McIver is in it. Tonight we are going to watch "Christmas Vacation". We watch it every year. |

I liked 1-3 and 4b-5b the 6th season was boring and made Regina look too weak and the frozen stuff made me want to throw things because it took over the whole show. Other than that I liked all of OUAT.

Yeah, as a whole, I pretty much enjoyed all of OUAT.
I binged the new episodes of Fuller House. So much fun. Sherry, I watched "A Christmas Prince" on Netflix a couple week ago! It was really cute. It reminded me a lot of the Hallmark Christmas movies. __________________

Well, whenever you're in the mood for something sweet and goofy, you should definitely get caught up.

I've watched the first two episodes of OUAT on two separate occasions. Thanks for your advise, I'll watch the first half and decide then.
I saw Lady Bird at the theaters - a great movie. It reminded me of Boyhood. If you see it, expect to laugh and cry. __________________

I've heard some good things about Lady Bird.
That would be great if you would be able to give OUAT another chance, Stephen. Just watched the 1991 animated version of Beauty and Beast with my mom for the first time in YEARS. There are many things I like better about the story in the recent real life version, but the cartoon will always hold a special place in my heart. __________________

Never heard of Lady Bird.
I'd say give OUAT at least til 1.11. I really started getting roped in around 1.07, but if you couldn't make it past 1.02 before, you may need a few extra episodes. Honestly, I fell in love with Lana Parrilla before I even fell in love with the show which is what kept me watching in the first episodes. LOL. __________________

Well, Lady Bird just came out in theaters in November. It's been getting a lot of good press and lots of nominations. It's essentially a coming of age story staring Saoirse Ronan.
I was pretty much hooked on OUAT from the beginning. The Snow/Charming romantic angst - and the awesomeness of Lana Parilla - was enough to pull me in. __________________
