Why does watching these scenes never get old?

I will vote for 7 this time, but not for a great reason. It doesn't quite have the passion that the other scenes have. It's thrilling and fun, but not as "sexy" for me.

I get what Park is saying about #7 being more playful than "sexy," but I still love it way too much to let it go yet.

I'm going to go with #6, too. It hurts me, because like Alex said, I adore how Mary gets lost in their kisses...and how Francis knows the exact spot on her neck to kiss to make her go wild. But, it's a short scene, and nothing beyond the kissing, so....

A Hot Mess

It's not even that he's flawless, because let's be real, he had flaws, but it was despite them he always tried to be his best self for his family and realm. And that he was selfless. He would destroy himself if it meant that everyone else would be okay.

He was our Blue eyed King that saw the white tree in the forest and knew that his death was coming and didn't care. He must save his Queen.

-He told his sister that she could marry for love.
-When his brother went for Mary, he forgave him and then made him King's deputy. Something his father never would have done.
-When everyone turned their back on King Henry, he wanted to take him out on a hunting trip to see if he could try and save him. Just try, at least one more time.
-He loved his mother despite things she'd done because he knew she loved him in her own way. He was her "Golden Boy"
-As he's slowly dying from his illness, he tries and teach Charles how to be a good King even though he's in pain.

I could go on...

But my all time favorite thing he's done, was when Mary lost the baby, he lit up the sky to remind her of their childhood of waiting patiently for fireflies. That he doesn't mind waiting with Mary, that in fact it was his favorite time. How many Kings of any century would tell their Queens to not feel pressure on having an heir?!

Sorry for my rant guys. Francis is just so... I can't even put it into worlds. I just get so emotional about, Francis. He's one of my all time favorite male characters. And I actually get angry when I see hate for him in the tags. I've been taking his death pretty. dang. hard.

ALL OF THIS. He would do anything to protect his family. Seeing the realization dawn on his face when he saw the tree and then a split second later, he went to save Mary without even thinking. It practically didn't even phase him... Mary is all he thought about in that moment.

And the firefly scene STILL gets to me. I think that's my favorite too. It was so powerful and emotional. He just wanted to make her happy and make sure she knew without a doubt that as long as he had her, that's all he needs. And that his favorite part is the waiting... because he's doing it with her

Well said. It's difficult to explain, but his loss is painful, still. The critics just don't feel it.
