I didn't get why they made him such a doofus, but got rid of the blue hair. His outside is cartoonish, but he's a shrewd, violent & smart guy.
Though I do think MH would have been amazing as Euron, and looks like a lot of the fan art for him. But I think when they made Balon so old it kinda screws that up. The Greyjoys look nothing like they are described in the books.
