I can live with letting #1 go first. Of course, any love declaration from Francis is gold, and I adore his fierce loyalty to Mary in that moment (and willingness to forgive). The fact that it's expressed to Catherine makes it even better. But, the quote itself is frustrating... as it reminds us of how much Mary hurt Francis... in order to protect him.

I can switch if it becomes necessary.

Do not worry about it at all! There were a few threads on the main directory that were past 300 and I suddenly felt like I had been away far too long if the maximum thread length had been changed! Easily rectifiable!

Speaking of which, one of these would be my vote. Doesn't have to be full quote; can just be partial (I've bolded my favorites parts of the quotes).

Aww thanks, Kate. I usually pay more attention... at least to this thread. But lately I'm lucky if I can get here and make my daily posting round.

And thanks for the title suggestions! I adore them both. I ended up going with your second choice - because, like Greer, the only magic I believe in is love. The idea that true love is the most powerful magic of all is really poignant.

I'm still open to changing or tweeking the title if anyone else has an idea.
