Exactly! I don't know why they've gone to such lengths to sever any and all ties between them. If anything I think it has hurt the ratings and not for shipping purposes, but Bash's role has become diminished as a whole. I think they could have developed a friendship between Bash and Mary again... where they gave each other a pat on the back and vowed to put their pasts together behind them and try to make it as good friends and in-laws. But no, they never talk.
