I'm going to see if I can recommend it for my book club. But I picked the last book and it was kind of a dud so it might be a while until I can get another suggestion

Life After Life

Although to be fair none of us have finished it yet, we had to push back our meeting because of scheduling problems but I'm half way through and not really excited about reading more. It might have a good twist at the end but right now it's kind of meh and no one feels differently.

I like seeing her book recommendations but I've learned my taste is on the other side of hers.

I haven't read any of the books she has recommended but I really want to try one.

I have a hold on her current recommendation at the library.

Thanks for those.

Loved Juno and have the book down on my list. Will have to look up the show.

Books of the Moment:

Quote:
Books of the moment: MY BRILLIANT FRIEND, THE STORY OF A NEW NAME, THOSE WHO LEAVE AND THOSE WHO STAY written by: Elena Ferrante

Ferrante is a writer unlike anyone else. These three books explore the intricacies of growing up in a small town in Italy during a time when women had very few rights, and violence was a language everyone spoke. Ferrante somehow writes with the same violence and directness that her characters possess. I am completely awed by the way her words cut to the truth. I am inspired to be a better, stronger woman because of her characters, and these books make me even more eternally grateful to all of the woman throughout history who fought with their words, and their souls to prove that women and men are equal in all ways. There is a portrait of female friendship in these novels that is unparalleled. These books will stay with me forever.

(Due to subject matter, I recommend for 18 and up)
