I was thinking how great it would have been seeing Minelli walk Lisbon down the aisle at her wedding.

I often wonder how the series might have been different if Minelli hadn't retired when he did. If one can assume that he wasn't part of the Blake Society, would the CBI have been shut down? Would Jane have ever caught up with Red John?

The problem is, if Minelli stayed and the CBI was never shut down, the Fischer and Lisbon would never have met.

Minelli not being Blake doesn't mean the CBI wouldn't have been shut down. THEY COULD STILL MEET.

Absolutely not. Minelli is one of the Good Guys. Not only a father figure, but very much a mentor for Lisbon - no way he's mixed up with Blake.
