I don't think that was the only reason. After living so long with superiors she couldn't trust and all the politics of the CBI, I suspect Lisbon really wanted to get away from all that and find something simpler - where even if she wasn't putting away hardened criminals she really was providing a valuable service.

Exactly, and plus I think she didn't want to jeopardize Cho's chance either. We all know Cho's tactics when it comes to protecting that team.
