TV writers always want to have drama. They don't seem to realize that not every couple every put on a tv screen needs to have drama. Especially in an ensemble cast. There's no reason why they couldn't do a sequel, let the kids have the drama and let Jisbon be living happily ever after.

I wonder if it was difficult for Simon to play the father of a girl subjected to so much trauma, since he's the father of a daughter not much older than Blaze. I have to believe at some point in his acting process he must have thought about something similar happening to his own daughter and how he would deal with it.
