This has always been one of my least favorite episodes. I've never been able to pinpoint exactly why, but it may be because it's the first appearance of Sheriff McAllister. By the time I saw this episode, I already had seen most of season 6, so I know he was Red John. Watching him with that sort of hindsight is disturbing.

Especially right near the beginning when Lisbon and Jane go to the girl's parents to tell them that she's dead. He stands there looking so concerned. When you watch that and realize all the people he killed himself.
One thing that was sort of interesting is when Jane is talking to the girl's younger brother and the boy asks Jane to tell him when they find out who did it. There's a real understanding between them. Despite how young the kid is, Jane knows exactly why he wants to know. __________________
