Uh - he's blind in more ways than one! Bones being egotistical is a fundamental plot element!

I'm not saying Jane isn't egotistical, too. It's just that with him, it's very blended with other parts of his personality. His guilt has really dampened his ego. There are definitely times when he acts like he thinks he's the smartest person in the room - or he'll even say that. But his guilt is a much larger facet of his character. With Bones, she's egotistical and she makes no -- bones -- (pun intended) about it. She's in everyone's face about it, so how can you say she is not? She may have a right to be - she is pretty smart - but that doesn't make her any less egotistical.

If he'd given the show a chance, I bet he'd like it. In a lot of ways they are very similar. The both have a pair of characters who have such very different personalities - yet they find a way to work together and harmonize their strengths and abilities to solve crimes.

Even really coincidental stuff - like there's an "A" couple that takes a long time to get together and a "B" couple that get together right off - break up for a bit - then finally wind up married with kids.

Mountain Dew has a LOT of caffeine. With me it's coffee. I'm on day 3 and the headache is gone. But I do miss good coffee!
