Went to the vet for a vaccination - first time since the whole COVID thing started. I've heard a lot of folks who have to hand over their pets at the front door, or even leave them in a cage and then go sit in their car until they are called to pick up the pet - also from a cage. Fortunately, my vet is not quite so stringent. They are spacing appointments so you aren't likely to run into anyone and they still have a small section of the waiting room available. I wasn't allowed to go into the exam room with my pup, but they keep the exam room open so I could see everything - and my pup could see me.

We haven't had any trouble here in my little town. There was one protest organized, but it only lasted a couple of hours and was very peaceful.

In the big city that is about 40 miles away they've had some problems, but that is subsiding, too.

Tomorrow I'm going to the eye doctor. It's my first medical appointment since this all started. Should be interesting.

My brother and my nephew put together a double reclining swing for my backyard. This isn't my yard, but this is what the swing looks like. We still have to put some bricks under the feet to make sure it's level and anchor it. I'm looking forward to summer evenings relaxing on this thing.

I was actually surprised today. I went outside around noon and sat for a bit under a big tree. In the shade and with a nice breeze it was pleasant.
