Went shopping for a new kitchen stove. The one that came with the house is okay - but it's pretty old and the heating coils aren't level.

I got my new driver's license today! After spending hours studying the manual, they didn't even give me the test.

I wasn't exactly mad - and I was certainly relieved - but I was a bit miffed that I spent all that time for nothing.

But all's well that ends well as the Bard said - I'm just happy that part of the move is over with.

I've lived pretty much all my life just outside of Washington, DC, in a very urban area.

Yesterday, I discovered that I really am living in the country now. There was a pig wandering around in my front yard. I don't think it was a farm pig - it seemed more like a pet pig. It was definitely bizarre.
