It's hard to pick a favorite scene because I just didn't like the character. I agree that PTV did an amazing job - but so amazing that I can't see LaRoche as anything other than a slimeball.
That said, I think one scene I did like was when LaRoche almost catches the thief in his house and we see him with a little dog in one arm and holding a gun with his other hand. It's so incongruous to think of him with a cute little dog. __________________

The Big Bang Theory just had an episode with a bunch of famous guest starts - William Shatner and Kareem Abdul Jabar and several others.
Is there a famous person you wish had been a guest star on The Mentalist? I wish they had done an episode with a famous real psychic or magicial - like Uri Geller or David Copperfield. Although considering that Jane would probably ridicule them, a real psychic probably wouldn't want to take the job. __________________

I would’ve loved a Mentalist guest turn by Derren Brown. Imagine him as Royston Daniel in 1.18 Russet Potatoes.
I didn’t find Laroche all that slimy at all in the end, just peculiar. Red and Itchy is one of my favourite episodes, and his burgeoning friendship with Jane was complex and a treat. I was gutted they killed him off. |

I know a lot of folks don't like her, but I wish they hadn't killed off Kristine Frye. She and Jane had such a great friendly adversarial relationship, and I think it would have been fascinating to see her come back from having been with Red John - and see how Jane reacts to a survivor.
