I watched this episode again last week. I didn't realize before that Wayne pretty much heard Grace's entire conversation about the dress. I wonder if he might have said anything about it. It's not like he was eavesdropping. It's common for there to be observers when a suspect is interviewed, so it's likely Grace knew he was there. So it wouldn't surprise me if Wayne encouraged her to wear the dress.

She's just such an badass when she's allowed to go out in the field! She's great at the computer so I understand why they utilize her strengths there a lot, but she's just so good at being out there in the thick of things!
