GRIMM ~ Episode Discussion - 3x04: "One Night Stand" ~ Air date November 15, 2013
Welcome to the Discussion! GRIMM ~ Episode 3x04: "One Night Stand"    @  S03E04 - One Night Stand Episode will feature a Naiad, a mermaid-like creature, called Elly. When Nick (David Giuntoli) and Hank (Russell Hornsby) investigate a drowning death with mysterious marks on the victim’s ankles, they happen upon a group of water-bound Wesen with a deadly postcoital cuddle. Meanwhile, Rosalee (Bree Turner) starts unpacking her things at Monroe’s (Silas Weir Mitchell), and Captain Renard (Sasha Roiz) makes a startling realization about the possible identities of the Royal Baby’s parents. Bitsie Tulloch, Reggie Lee and Claire Coffee also star.  Title card:  "More and more she grew to love human beings and wished that she could leave the sea and live among them." -The Little Mermaid __________________

Multi tasking at its best  Seems like it will be yet another interesting episode. I normally love mermaids but not sure if I will like the ones featured in this episode __________________

I think these aren't typical mermaids at all. The description called them "naiads," which are technically mythological water nymphs that wouldn't actually have tails.
Grimm's take on the mythical creatures is always extraordinary, so I'm eager to see what they come up with! __________________

On Jeopardy the other day there was a question about Diana Nyad, the 64 year old woman who finally completed her dream of swimming from Cuba to Florida in 53 hours. She swam 110 miles to Key West.
On Jeopardy they were looking for her name is interchangle almost with that naiad. She sorta is one as well. I do not want to undermine Ms Nyad's accomplishments at all. She is a very strong woman who has a wonderful, great soul. Her swimming feats come into my mind with that other word "naiad". |

Patty - Funny you should mention Diana Nyad ... as I was putting together the OP last night, I was thinking about her. What a perfect name for someone with her extraordinary talent!
