Well it's a great spur of the moment title. Well done.
 So as you guys know I'm cough*29*cough and I was out to dinner with my family tonight. I got carded tonight, I don't know if that makes me happy or sad. __________________

I used to get carded when I was 29, Anna. You can take it either way, but I always chose to consider it a compliment.

I've noticed some stores are requiring ID for alcohol purchases, no exceptions. I think it's silly and a little embarrassing to show ID for someone as old as me.
 Anyway, I'm well. My sons have gone out of town for the weekend to see their dad, and I'm enjoying a few days of no one to feed but myself and my cats. Sorry you've been so busy.. __________________

I remember there was a commercial once that talked about carding for alcohol. It had a woman goes into a convenience store to buy booze. It's late at night and she has her face hidden by her hair. The clerk asks for her id and she moves her hair out of her face to show she's much older. And the clerk catches himself and says something like, "yep just over the mark, barely making it." And the tagline is something like, "making a thirty-five year old's night" she walks out of the store all smiling.

I worked in a liquor store when I was 18 years old. We were told to ask anyone who didn't look 21 for ID. It is hard to know sometimes...
If stores and restaurants are now carding everyone I'm okay with it because it makes it easier for the clerks...which I hope would prevent the underage from getting booze.  |

I'm all for preventing underage kids buying booze, but it holds up the checkout to card grandmas.

It's muggy here .. we've had T-storms on a daily or nightly basis for the past week, and looks like more of the same today.
Even though the temp is in the 80's, it feels like 90's because of the humidity. I did go out and pull some weeds this morning. They're practically jumping out of the ground after so much rain. __________________
