I watched it last night before bed. I have to put my thoughts together, but the first one I had was, in the beginning when they're fighting Rumlow and he tells Steve he saw Bucky and Bucky was being all weepy...was he lying just to distract Steve?

I mean, I'm leaning towards yes, it was a lie, because Bucky's memories were still not so sharp then and he doesn't come across as a weepy guy, no matter what.

Also, Bucky killing Tony's mom with his real arm, not the metal one gives me bigger chills than if he had used the metal one.

Well, we saw in Winter Soldier that Bucky knew Steve from somewhere, but he didn't really remember him. If he was talking about another time that Bucky had started to remember, it might not have been a complete lie. I do agree about not seeing Bucky as a weepy person.

That scene when it finally confirms the Winter Soldier killed Tony's parents still got to me, too. Especially when Howard Stark recognoised him, and of couse, Bucky showed no signs of knowing who he was.

Spread was okay not my fav movie either. Sebastian was the best part of the movie to me.

It's not the worst film I've ever watched, but I'd have probably have stopped watching if it wasn't for Seb.

I really couldn't stand Ashton Kutcher's character. Now, if only the charachter had been played by Seb...

I never saw any of the Iron Man movies, so do they keep mentioning Tony's parents being killed or show mysterious-like footage of it?

I felt bad for Howard. He died in a brutal way, to be repeatedly bashed like that

Of course, you could watch it before some of the Seb's better tv series / films, in a "get it out of way" sense.

Possibly, or maybe there was another time he'd started to remember Steve, and they wiped his mind and brainwashed him again. Only this time he remembered more, like he sort knew who he was. Which sounds even worse than what happened in the film.

I've only watched the first two films and I don't remember that, but it's been a while seen I've seen them.

Yeah, and by someone he knew as well.

That is heartbreaking. And it makes me want to smack Robert Redford even more.

Probably had a small glimmer of hope that he'd make it out alive, and then nope - metal hand to the forehead.

Yeah, I'd have liked to have saved Kings or Political Aminals to later when I did my "I have to watch everything tv series / film Seb's made as soon as possible".

I HATED his character when I saw that part.

Yeah, he didn't even really get a chance to even think about how Bucky could be a live and not looking that much older.

I wonder how close they were.

and if he did have a chance, you think maybe he could've fixed Bucky's brainwashing and saved him from however many more years of being used.

Bucky and Howard? No idea...I can't remember many scenes between them is TFA.

Definitely not. I just meant leave something you think is going to be good to last, and try and get some of the bad stuff out of the way.



Poor guy.

I think he would have saved Bucky if he knew and could do something about it.

I'll have to rewatch The First Avenger, but I don't think they did. They must have known each other, and I'd imagine it must have been a shock to see someone who thought had died years ago, even if you were that close to the person.

mmmm, I guess that means Kings will be saved for last.

He can redeem himself in a future movie with Sebastian where he doesn't smack him around.

oh yes I assume they had off screen scenes, like they had conversations during the Howling Commando days.
