My dentist appointment went okay, he had to double numb my gums and teeth, when I left my left side of my face was swollen and it hurt unlike the last time. It took a while for the swelling to go down and the pain to go away.

I got some advice on completing application forms and it's going to be an ongoing thing during my redundancy notice, with also getting help with interviews and any training that also might help me. He also suggested that I look into being a apprentice.

It's great that this is being offered to you and it's not a one time deal.
So they help with putting resumes together also?

An apprentice, like an intern?

Yeah, I didn't know it wasn't just a one off meeting, but it's definitely made me feel better.

Do interns get paid? Apprentices get minimum wage, which does vary depending on age.

I'm hoping it doesn't take me as long as it the last time I was made redundant, which was a year. If that's the case, then I'll hopefully get some temp jobs.

Usually interns don't get paid. I think a few companies give a little something, but for the most part the internship is to just get a foot in the door.

Thanks for that, as I wasn't sure about interns not geting paid.

Being an apprentice is very similar to being an intern, but they get paid.

When I think of apprentice, I think of someone who has to work for years and years and years before they become a master, like an apprentice to a painter or carpenter or something like that, something with a lot of hands-on work. Is that what you'll do?
