3x03 Walk of Punishment • What do you think is the best line/s of dialogue from the episode? • Who do you find the most sympathetic character in the episode? • Have your feelings changed re: the episode from when you first watched it? If so, how? • Other opinions? |

Robbs ultimate mistake was to kill the karstark guy instead of just imprisoning him. He killed the wrong people at the wrong time that was his weakness. He didn't know how to lead.

Yes I think so too! He shouldn't have killed him. You pointed it out perfectly.

It might have been a mistake but in his mind he did the right thing because he considered the murder of the hostages a traitorous act, as it was a direct order from Robb that they were to be remained as hostages (alive). He believed that traitors have to be punished. Prison would still be cleverer though

He was not consequent imo. He punished Karstark but at the same time let Catelyn's treason go unpunished. He could have put him in the prison like he did with his mother.

i really also think that Robb mishandled the matter of Rickard Karstark. independent of the situation, Robb did the right thing. however, when you're stuck in the Riverlands waging a tenuous war against the Lannisters, and you're throwing away one of your largest bannermen? not to mention Robb already highly suspects he's lost the Freys. it was a bad move but his sense for "justice" came into the way just like it did with Ned.
