3x01 Valar Dohaeris

What do you think is the best line/s of dialogue from the episode?
Who do you find the most sympathetic character in the episode?
Have your feelings changed re: the episode from when you first watched it? If so, how?
Other opinions?

Who do you think burned down winterfell? The greyjoys or the boltons?

I think it was the Greyjoys. Could be the Boltons but they only got significant in season 3 and the Greyjoys played a bigger role in season 2

Only think i didn‘t like starting season 3 was ramsey‘s torture scenes. I may skip them.

i loved this first episode, mostly because it reminders me of what made first season so damn good! the usual stuff as the acting and production size (costumes, settings, etc) are as good and rich as always.

and i loved Dany's scenes. she is saved by Barristan Selmy, the former commander to her father, who pledges his loyalty. this was great! the subtle comedic translated exchange between Dany and Kraznys was hilarious! already can't wait for 3x04!

Joffrey Baratheon is hated more than ever (although perhaps soon to be salvaged thanks to Margaery Tyrell's charitable work) and Tyrion, despite his grand efforts in the war, remains no good to bear the Lannister name. their heartbreaking exchange was wonderfully written and Tywin makes once again his opinion about Tyrion known via discourse of hatred, embarrassment and ridicule. it's to Charles Dance and Peter Dinklage's credit that this scene is so effective. elsewhere in the episode i am glad Davos survived. still hate Stannis and Melisandre more and more with every single episode (can't wait for Stannis to die).

and i hate and always hated Robb for locking Cat up, i really didn't like this side about him. oh this season his downfall is coming...but i often didn't agree with his choices.

Well he had no choice but locking up his mother. She betrayed him and especially in front of his vassals it makes him look weak.

Much more than hating stannis I hated ramsey though. He lived too long.

i felt like this was the start of the end of his "reign". he should have listened more often to his mother.

Ramsay will be totally hated this season.
