a movie nobody asked for, and itÄs my favorite SW movie. i thought it was less copy and paste than The Force Awakens, had more likeable characters than Rogue One, and wasn't riddled with baffling ideas like The Last Jedi. the story is an extended heist movie where Han Solo has to navigate new allies, possible enemies, and a race against the clock with unstable cargo. Alden Ehrenreich doesn't try to imitate Ford, but instead he makes the character his own with little homages to Ford. the whole cast does a great job breathing a fun energy to the movie, something i thought Rogue One was lacking. overall it does have some pacing issues and while the cast makes the movie enjoyable it's not the most groundbreaking story. my expectations were low to be honest and i was pleasantly surprised though! refreshingly low stakes and just a really good summer movie.
