I still head-canon that she was brought to Volantis by Drogon and resurrected by the other Red Lady, since she was introduced for no reason after all. Then she, Drogon, Kinvara, and Quaithe (she also needs something to make her relavent) travel east to Asshai and the shadowlands, Dany learns blood magic to wake up more dragon eggs, and 10 years after her original death returns to Westeros with an entire flock of dragons to seek revenge on Bran the puppet master (who is reeling from being defeated in a massive civil war, the remaining 5 kingdoms rebelling and becoming independence years before), Sansa (who has had a difficult rule in the North which has been plagued with more civil wars amongst the Northern Lords and famine), and Jon and Tyrion for their treason. It would be so cool, to go west you must go east...

And it makes a few irrelevant characters relevant. I have no idea why they bothered writing in Quaithe and Kinvara when they ended up just vanishing. And Dany is the mother of dragons, her bringing them back into the world fully would be fitting and it's morally ambiguous enough for GOT. I also would love to see Asshai and the creepy places in the far east of the "Known World".

Yes asshai sems like a very interesting place, I'd love to see it on screen, I mean in essosn there is many fascinating places that should be explored. Like Yi Ti that ancient chinese style empire or there's an island where amphibian sort of people live etc.

After reading the World of Ice and Fire there was so much I wanted to see more of. A lot of them seem quite creepy, especially the further east you go. I wish these could have been explored a bit, even if in another story set in the same universe but not ASOIAF

^ there's enough material in the books and barely touched portions of the show, for many more seasons. HBO really dropped the ball, they should've fired dumb and dumber when they wouldn't go past an abbreviated 8th season, hired new writers for Seasons 8-10, kept the same crew for the look of continuity, and at least done the 10 seasons originally planned, maybe more. Sopranos and GoT were the crown jewel series of all of HBO history, and they smashed them both into the ground. geez ugh.
