Daenerys was such a strong character, that when they brought her down, she took the entire show down with her. All the other surviving characters couldn't fill the whole she left behind.

This "mad queen Dany" narrative basically destroyed all the characters. Many characters who were uphold as "wise", "brave", "sharp-witted", "loyal", "noble", "honorable" and so on, apparently there were all fools. Ned was a fool for asking Robert not to kill Dany. Barristan Selmy, the veteran warrior, was a fool. Jorah Mormont, the knight on a redemption quest, was a fool (the white-washed version of the show, at least), Tyrion (one of the smartest players in the Game) was a fool. Missandei, who speaks hundreds of languages, was a fool. Greyworm, a fool. Yara and Theon Greyjoy: two fools. Ellaria, a fool. Olenna (other smart player), a fool. Jon, a fool. Show!Varys, a fool. Dany is so tyrannical and manipulative she was able to fool countless characters in the story (this was sarcasm).
