Yes he's one of the main characters from season two till season 5 (the last season). I personally liked it a lot, but I do like sci-fi. It's a spin-off of Stargate sg1 which is about a group of soliders and civilians that discover our galaxy through a stargate that leads them to many other worlds with enemies and friends. In the course of the show they find hints for the lost city of altantis that was build by aliens and after 7 seasons they know it's in another galaxy far away. So the atlantis spin-off is about a bigger expedition that uses a "one way ticket" to travel to this galaxy and the city of atlantis. They find their way back home one day but in the beginning they're lost in that galaxy and cut off earth support and of course there is an evil enemy and jason plays a survivor from a world destroyed by this enemy.

Such shows are not my cup of tea but I know that Jason made a lot of fans at this show. It was also well received by fans and for people who like that genre I am sure the show is brilliant.

I personally never understood why so many people are against sci-fi. I mean it's fine, but I personally don't really understand it. But I guess fans of medical shows would also not understand why medical shows are not my thing lol.

i guess some like realistic shows more, and some fantasy and some sci fi. and when you are a fan of one of them you mostly don't really get why the people don't like your favorite genre

The problem is all my friends dislike sci-fi.
