And I can't get the door closing and sex scene out of my mind. Damn that door closing in on us, the audience, is such a powerful moment. Despite being the worst tease ever. Would I have loved to see their first kiss? Of course. But I think the door closing in on the rest of the world signifies so much. These two finally colliding is just way too special and intimate for prying eyes. Almost like we wouldn't have been able to handle it haha. It also leaves so much to one's imagination. And us cutting to them already at it and it being so intense and passionate where they can't take their mouths away from each other’s for more than a second, just has me SHOOK. Which is just so telling about how their first kiss and them undressing each other actually went, because OH MY GOD was that glimpse into them coming together breathtakingly beautiful.

The fact that there is no dialogue, no words needed, just that LOOK in their eyes makes it 100000x hotter.
It's probably one of my favorite shots of anything in the entire series tbh, because that's it. That's the story. The song of ice and fire and their union. And this shot says it all. |
