So this Arthur Dayne guy fought for Rhaegar Targaryen and kept Lyanna in the tower and Ned tried to rescue her? Am I right?

Arthur Dayne was a King's Guard yes And a friend to Rhaegar.
As to what he was doing there. Well King's Guard members usually defend members of the royal family, they still do on the show in present Day. Jaime, Merryn Trant and several other King's Guard have stood watch over Robert, Joffrey and Tommen. If Lyanna was pregnant with Rhaegar's baby, then that would explain what Arhur Dayne, Gerold Hightower and Oswell Whent was doing there, instead of participating at the Battle of Trident and protecting Rhaegar's life. They were protecting a member of the Royal family And if R+L=J is true, then Lyanna wasn't a prisoner in the tower. Ned just didn't know that. He thought that he was saving her. __________________

They will surely confirm R+L=J in the next flashback.

Thanks for the information King of Cool. Since I have zero background knowledge about the show or books, such flashbacks are quiet confusing and much to take in for me
Also now we know how Meera and Jojen's father died. One of the knights was Reed wasn't it? |

It was Howland Reed who stabbbed Dayne in the back and rescued Ned.

Howland Reed is still alive (The show haven't shown him in present day yet, but he's still alive in the books, so until the show tells us otherwise, he is still alive on the show as well) MysteryXX is right, if it hadn't been for Howland, Arthur Dayne would have killed Ned. It's the same in the books.
He is probably the only living person in the aSoIaF universe who can confirm Jon's parentage. Because he was with Ned in the tower, he didn't stay outside __________________

Patience Tina, Patience. They only have what, 3-5 visions left for Bran, before he will most likely leave the cave. And i don't think they plan for him to do that before episode 8 or 9. So they have to stretch it out a bit
There has been rumours of a vision with young Robert Baratheon and Ned, probably before the rebellion, then there is the likely vision where he uncovers the mystery of why Hodor, hodors, Tower of Joy part 2, the big internet-breaking scene with the Night's King in the vision (could potentially be split in 2) and then potentially Harrenhal. After that Bran is basically done i think. Then there will most likely be a big scary scene where they leave the cave. We have seen in the trailers from before the season that the White Walkers will most likely enter Blood-Raven's cave. And then there is potentially a scene after that where they arrive at the wall. That is what, 5-7 scenes for Bran, for the remainder of this season, unless i'm proved wrong of course __________________

I'd be very disappointed if they don't continue with the Tower of Joy scene.

Have to consider the placing of the scene in context of both Jon and Dany scenes, as it is as much a homage to the once greatness of Royal House Targaryen.
