Dany burning the Tarlys alive was just a logic thing to do but Randyll refused the Wall and chose to die, not sure he expected dragonfire, though. and Dickon was stupidly loyal to his father. still, the show portrayed like threatening vanquished enemies with dragonfire unless they bend the knee is some sign for a mad queen move. but it wasn't.

this is actually the only scene i was really upset with D&D.

Agreed with all of you. I liked the way Dany handled the opening scene. Her offer to the Tarlys was, if anything, quite generous under the circumstances, since they betrayed and caused the death of one of Dany's key allies. The show made it such a negative thing though and I don't get why? It is obvious Dany WON'T become the Mad Queen. Westeros already has one and her name is Cersei.

I felt some regret at seeing the Tarleys get toasted, especially Dickon. I had no great love for Randyll, but alas, Dickon would have been a fine match for some lovely lady, especially with so many young lords having been decimated in the wars these past years. But Dany wasn't wild and crazy in her thinking, she was coldly logical. If she offered the option of prison, as Tyrion suggested, instead of bended knees, everyone would chose prison. There's no time for that. And we mustn't forget they all tried to kill her and would have achieved if it wasn't for Drogon. Plus they killed the whole Tyrell armies in Highgarden. I call it justice.

Yeah, that was part of the portrayal that I hated. They had these two people close to her going oooh, this isn't good. And bringing up the mad king.

When what Daenerys did was definitely no worse than what other characters have done. Heck, Gendry killed two guards in the same episode IIRC.

I think Dany did a minimal amount of harm. It seemed to me she was mostly attacking the 'loot' with the dragon fire, not so much the men. And she executed just two men who wanted to go down with Cersei for some.. completely stupid reason. And she didn't enjoy it.

I know that Daenerys isn't going the mad queen route. But it bothers me that the show helped people to think this or gave them more ammo.

Oh, and I also disliked Tyrion calling the burning of the Tarlys 'losing her temper' when he shouldn't have gotten that from what we saw. Like at all.

I was ticking about why they wanted people to think she would go the mad route. Maybe it's because they don't want to show that Dany is "perfect" and still has her "flaws"? I can't think of another reason or message they wanted to send with this scene.

Like all of you I didn't like that whole thing either. It made Tyrion and Varys a bit unsympathetic for me.

I liked the Missandei/Grey Worm sex scene. It was one of the best sex scenes GOT had.

Love making scenes in Game of Thrones aren't always tender and sweet like we know But their scene was really lovely. Still my favorite sex scene was Jon/Dany this season
