What I don't get is how can a strong warrior like Drogo died from a cut?? Would've expected from a battle or something like that.

compared to other deaths Khal Drogo's death seemed unspectacular and useless to me but thinking about it maybe this shows how quickly life can be over by something you never expected. it was just a little scar at the beginning. i guess they wanted to show that you can die from little things as well and not only from a spectacular death scene.
