Hi everyone ,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

For a full explanation of the message board customisation process, see this thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to send Mel, Catia or Chelle a PM or ask the Team on the message board customisation thread.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes less than two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have made and voted on a winning graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

Colors: I am open to pretty much anything. I just don't want bright colors.

I love blue but I am open to a green board. Some of the customization I really love: Bob Morley, Chris Evans & Tyler Hoechlin.

I'll find some ideas on Design Seeds later this week.

I kinda like the photoshoot we used in the current banner. There is this photoshoot, but the lighting isn't consistent and I don't think it's his best work. ~~His eyes are almost closed on one.~~

I'm on my phone so can't really check but those pics appear usable. I could be wrong though

(we won't copy another boards colours & don't pay a lot of attention to other boards being mentioned)

I like cooler tones, like blues, purples and greens. What about you??

How old is the photoshoot you have now in comparison to pictures you'd be happy to change to?

hmm yeah that's a tad old then

But on the other hand your alternatives are that one you already linked to from 2017 (maybe this one too? the rest from 2017 are boring or unusable imo) or looking at 2015. Personally I'm not overly impressed looking at the 2015 ones, there are far nicer ones from 2014, so I can see reason to go back that far

. Its your board, what do you feel is the best option? Updating the pictures to 2017, or sticking with 2014 & just focusing on the colours? 2014 will be outdated, but has he changed a lot in that time? Does it feel outdated to you? I will say 2017 is my preference to make it updated, but I can understand the use of 2014...

As for colours you've both mentioned blue & while it is what you've got now maybe you'd like to stick with blue? There's lots of different shades of blue & it could be possible to create a new look & feel here while still sticking with blue. I took a look around Design Seeds, & based on what has been mentioned in this thread & what you've got now I thought you might like some of these:

I like that one from 2017, but I don't like his expression on this picture. I wish his mouth was closed.

Sucks because the one where he laughs is perfect. That's Dylan. The fun guy.

That's the picture I wasn't sure on for that 2017 one too. While the other two pictures seemed perfect. I think if you want to go with 2017 the USA Today shoot is the best option as its got more pictures to choose from so if there's an odd looking one or one picture isn't working we can hopefully use another. I know he's looking down but I find this one to be cute & sort of has the fun guy feel to it. How do you feel about that picture?

I noticed that about having one in common

- took it to mean I was on the right track of trying to figure out colours you like

Its not my board, so not my decision, but I really like the ones you picked as favourites too

Having multiple choices can make it harder, sorry

But even if you both list a couple of favourites we can get a feel for things you like & see what we can come up with. Sometimes we combine colour schemes, or we'll pick one of a couple of choices, whatever works best for us while still meeting what you've asked for ~~& as a MM you can always lurk & tell us if you don't like something we're doing in the graphics~~
