Not really because apparently they also went to Sci-Ops although I think they only ever mentioned that in 1x06...

What's Sci-Ops? If they ever mentioned what that is, I don't even remember
Also wouldn't they have known each other before they graduated the academy? I thought it'd be longer than 13 yrs.

It's one of the department in the Hub I think.
