I wonder if the great chemistry took TPTB by surprise? Like they didn't expect it to be that well received? But I cannot dislike them for still going with their original storyline, even though it killed the ship. Even though I don't watch anymore a part of me still wishes Daisy and a good Ward from a different world end up together. lol Hey, it's a comic book series.
