It happened so fast though. We only had about two days notice. The part that chokes me up is the acts of kindness and heroics from plain ordinary people. So muuuuuuccchhh love goes out to them. Wish I could hug them ALL!

oh geez no way tbh weather is such a tricky thing i know i live in melbourne australia we havent got the tornado or that harsh floods thankfully but we can't rely on the weather channel all you know is it will be 4 seasons in a day so just brace for it

Tropical disturbance one day, next day category 1 hurricane, following day category 4 making landfall… The Weather Channel only helps us if we actually have power in our homes to watch the news via TV or internet, which unfortunately isn’t always the case once the weather becomes super nasty.
You guys experience four seasons in a day?

oh dear and yer i heard that the power was out so it doesnt help anyway

yer so we will have a hot sunny morning follow by a cold harsh rain at night , sometime it depands on where you are traveling if not even 10 mins on area is sunny the other is raining we also get hail as well .. it lovely really

And everyone of course was in a panic here for no reason at all..
everyone going around trying to get gas.. so now all the gas stations are out of gas

It's ridiculous... all because of some false info on social media.

Nothing happened. That's all.
On the news they said it might take a few days to get all the gas stations filled up with gas again. But yesterday there was a couple that were filled, but then ran out again because of people. It's not really chaos anymore though.. now that I think everyone figured out that we're not going to run out of fuel.

that is good it is calming down .. hopefully it gets better

Yeah, hail is no fun either! Where you live, do you guys experience seasons in the traditional sense of the word?

Looks like another category 4 hurricane is about to strike U.S. soil again later this week. :/

Here in the Netherlands we have the seasons, but kind of a milder version of everything, with a 90% chance of rain always present

it's been raining all week. I'm going to a festival tomorrow and the weather doesn't look great for then either

at least I'm going to visit my parents for a couple weeks next week, they live in Turkey so the weather there is going to be amazing

You can't imagine how glad we were to see the sun after all those rainy days!! Well, maybe you can if you experienced some of Harvey.

Will be eating a hamburger and tater tots this evening! So excited about this!
